The APAC of Itaúna / MG will host the Volta Atelier brand workshops in September 2019. At the time, 12 re-covers (as women who are serving sentences in APAC are called) will receive training to develop other Volta Atelier brand inputs and products.
APAC stands for Convicted Protection and Assistance Association. It is a civil entity governed by private law, dedicated to the recovery and social reintegration of those sentenced to deprivation of liberty. APAC’s goal is to promote the humanization of prisons without losing sight of the punitive purpose of the sentence. Its purpose is to prevent recidivism in crime and to offer alternatives for the convict to recover.
